Child & Family Services Home and Community Based Services Waiver Program
Child & Family Services coordinates the Home and Community-Based Services Waiver
Program for children with serious emotional disturbances. This program offers an
innovative approach for serving children with serious emotional disturbances in
their own homes. Children and families in the program receive quality treatment
from the local providers they choose.
About Our Services
Through the Home and Community-Based Services Waiver Program, Child & Family
Services offers the following important services to children with serious emotional
disturbances:
- Individualized care coordination which includes intake and screening,
assessment of needs, service plan development, linkage to care, advocacy, monitoring
and consultation; and family support services;
- Crisis Response Services which are designed to stabilize any child
and/or family crisis when and where it may arise;
- Intensive In-home Services which provide intensive interventions
in the home when more than a crisis response service is needed;
- Respite Care to provide a needed break for the family and child
to ease stress in the home and enhance family harmony; and
- Skill Building Services to assist the child in acquiring, developing
and addressing social and environmental functional skills and supports which will
enable him/her to function better within the family, at school and in the community.
- Family Support activities that maintain and encourage self-sufficiency
of the familyto care for the child in the home and community.
