Services Provided

Child & Family Services EAP is Western New York’s premier employee assistance program. We offer comprehensive, high quality professional services to employers and employees across the community. Our goal is to strengthen individuals and families in order to enhance the quality of life in the workplace and the community.

Our EAP provides your organization with a wide range of professional services, including:

  • On-site training for managers, supervisors and union stewards (where applicable);
  • Management consultation regarding EAP policy development/other workplace policy issues (drug-free workplace initiatives, workplace violence, sexual harassment);
  • Consultation for supervisors and Human Resources representatives regarding specific personnel concerns;
  • On-site personal enrichment and health promotion seminars for employees;
  • Assessment/referral and short-term counseling services for employees and their immediate family members;
  • 24-hour telephone crisis counseling for personal or family crises.

In addition to the core services and benefits provided through our program, we also offer the following Specialized Services:

  • Trauma Care Services
    • Consultation for your human resource department reagarding workplace trauma;
    • On-site crisis management services;
    • On-site critical incident debriefing sessions;
  • Specialized Consultation and Referral for:
    • Legal concerns;
    • Childcare resources*;
    • Eldercare concerns and resources;
    • Personal budgeting concerns*;
    • Nutrition Related Concerns*
  • Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) Compliance Services
    • Consultation;
    • Employee education;
    • Supervisory training (Reasonable Suspicion);
    • Referrals to qualified substance abuse professionals for evaluation services.

Ongoing visibility of our program’s services and benefits is maintained by providing your organization with:

Accessibility

Our program serves Buffalo and the surrounding suburbs, Lockport, Niagara Falls, Albany, Rochester, Syracuse, Jamestown/Southern Tier, and several other areas throughout New York State.

Our main office is located in Cheektowaga, New York, and is easily accessible from the New York State Thruway. Daytime as well as evening appointments are available. Our staff can also accommodate the needs of employees or family members who are unable to travel to our main office due to transportation problems or other extenuating circumstances. Appointments may be scheduled with our staff at other Child & Family Services office sites, located in the downtown Buffalo area and surrounding suburbs. Services for your employees who live or work outside of the Buffalo/Western New York area are provided through our State/National Affiliate Network.
