What is an Employee Assistance Program? An Employee Assistance Program is a cost-effective employee benefit which can help your organization provide professional assistance for employees who have personal and/or family problems. You may already know of some employees in your organization who have exhibited performance problems, poor attendance, tardiness, and conflicts with customers or co-workers. Very often these problems at work may be attributed to personal or family problems. How much does it cost your organization in time and money to resolve these very sensitive personnel problems? Where can your supervisors and managers seek guidance and consultation for responding to employees when their personal problems affect their performance at work and the productivity of their co-workers? An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is an excellent resource for providing consultation and guidance for your supervisors and managers as well as professional assistance for your employees. Child & Family Services EAP: An IntroductionSince 1981, Child & Family Services has provided EAP services for hundreds of businesses and organizations throughout Western New York. As one of the most comprehensive, professionally staffed programs in Western New York, our EAP offers a broad range of services to employers, employees and their families. We are nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation to Children and Families and are one of the few non-profit EAP's available in the Western New York region. As a community-based organization, we have access to a variety of mental health resources through our own agency and across the community. Our program can also help your organization manage increased health care costs associated with mental health and alcohol/substance abuse problems by providing your employees with professional evaluations and referrals to cost-effective treatment programs. |
