The Spirit of Giving
We would like to recognize recent generous donations from Western New York companies,
individuals, groups and organizations to Child & Family Services.

money, via a candy and bake sale, to buy gifts for a family in the Adopt-A-Family
program.
Citibank Supports Loan Program Since 1999
The Ways To Work Loan Program was presented with a second performance award of $3,500
on 9/7/07. The loan program continues to provide affordable loans to working families
as an alternative to predatory lending for those who do not qualify for conventional
credit.
We welcome Citizen's Bank to the list of collaborators, whose contributions have
made it possible for the program to provide more than 2 Million dollars in loans
since 1999. We recognize The Alliance for Children & Families, the Erie County
Department of Social Services, The McKnight Foundation, the New York State Department
of Labor, the New York State Office of Temporary & Disability Assistance, the John
R. Oishei Foundation, Bank of America, Citizen's Bank, First Niagara Bank and Key
Bank for their funding. In particular, we wish to thank the United Way of Buffalo
& Erie County, HSBC and M&T Banks for their annual contributions that have made
it possible to sustain the program from year to year.
Casual for a Cause
Pictured here are Brenna Gerwitz, Meghan Azzopardi, Amanda Collado, Jessica Reimers,
and Breanna Horwood, Immaculata Academy students who recently participated in the
“Casual Days for Kids” Campaign to benefit Child & Family Services.
This past January, Buffalo Seminary, Immaculata Academy, and Mount St. Mary Academy
participated in the “Casual Days for Kids” Campaign to benefit Child & Family
Services. Each school hosted a “kids helping kids” dress down day, with students
and staff making a donation to participate. The campaign was a tremendous success,
with the schools raising a combined total of $750! All of the money raised will
support Child & Family Services’ programs which improve the lives of vulnerable
children in Western New York.
This program serves as an educational opportunity for participating students as
they raise money for those less fortunate than themselves. By supporting Child &
Family Services, students gain an understanding of the importance of helping others
in their community.
Following such a successful winter campaign, we invite other schools or businesses
to host a Casual Days for Kids fundraiser. Designating a day on which students or
employees can dress down for a small donation is a great way to support Child &
Family Services! You may prefer to host a casual day, or simply have students or
employees wear a Casual Day for Kids pin in support of Child & Family Services.
All donations stay right here in Western New York.
For more information about this program contact Rosanne Wisniewski at 882-0555,
Ext. 314.
