Program Spotlight: Foster Care and Adoption Program

In 2007, just a year after they were married, Lisa and Shaun contacted Child and Family Services to learn about opening their home and their hearts to children in need of a safe and loving home. The young, newlywed couple had full time jobs, volunteered in their community, and spent a great deal of time with family and friends.

However, Lisa and Shaun always felt that something was missing. After learning about what Child and Family Services’ Foster Care and Adoption Programs had to offer, they made the decision to pursue adoption. “A ‘forever family’ is a beautiful gift, both for the kids as well as the families that adopt them,” explains Lisa.
